Welcome Renters & Guests to North Gray Dunes
We’re delighted to have you here! Whether you’re staying for a weekend getaway or an extended vacation, we want to ensure your experience in North Gray Dunes is both enjoyable and safe. Please review the following information to help you make the most of your stay.
Road Maps & Access
See the link for a road map of the North Gray Dunes area. The area is accessed by going through a private gate at the end of Fruitvale Road. You will need a code to open the gate.
The roads beyond the gate are private and are maintained by the North Gray Dunes Association. Please respect the speed limit since there is two-way traffic on a single lane road, and the road is also commonly used by walkers, pets, and wildlife such as deer. There is no parking on the private roads or easements off the road. Parking is limited to areas on private land.
Garbage Disposal
We have the privilege of having dumpsters for our garbage. If that privilege is lost everyone will be on their own for garbage disposal. This would mean increased road traffic by garbage trucks and the inconvenience of having to put out individual garbage bins.
A few people can ruin it for all of us. With this in mind, please be a good neighbor. Respect the rules, and report anyone you see abusing the rules to one of the board members.
In addition, we have installed cameras that will in real time identify those breaking the rules. Violators will be brought before the board to explain their actions, and may loose the privilege of using the dumpster. Anyone that damages the cameras will be subject to the same action.
PLEASE DON’T ABUSE THE PRIVILEGE OF HAVING DUMPSTERS!
The rules are simple:
All garbage must be in closed and tied bags, no loose items of garbage
Regular store boxes must be broken down and flattened to minimize the space they occupy
No moving boxes or construction materials are to be put into the dumpster
No toxic or flammable items are allowed in the dumpsters (paint, oil, gasoline, etc)
No furniture or household items are allowed in the dumpster including outdoor patio materials, beach umbrellas, beach toys, lamps, benches etc. If you think it probably shouldn’t go in the dumpster, it shouldn’t.
Close the lids securely to prevent trash from blowing out or animals from getting into the dumpsters. If the front area of the dumpster is full, please use the back so the lids will close completely.
We have provided hand sanitizer for your convenience. Please do your part to keep the dumpster area clean and free of trash. Anyone seen throwing trash over the fence without properly putting it into the dumpster will be called before the board members and may loose dumpster privileges or be fined. There is no one but your neighbor to pick this trash up.
Parking Regulations
Respect our parking rules to maintain clear, safe access for all.
No parking on roads or easements—these areas must remain clear for emergency and maintenance vehicles. Parking is only permitted on the private property of those you are visiting. Do not park in turn-around circles as these need to be clear for emergency vehicles. Violators will have their cars towed at their expense.
Fireworks Policy
Open fires and fireworks are strictly prohibited within North Gray Dunes.
Respect Our Community
North Gray Dunes is a peaceful, close-knit environment. We appreciate your cooperation in respecting:
Quiet hours: 10 PM to 7 AM.
Natural habitats: Avoid disturbing wildlife or plant life.
Property boundaries: Be mindful of private property markers.
Beaches: While there are some public beaches to the north and south of North Gray Dunes, and some common beach areas shared among several cottages, many of the beaches in North Gray Dunes are private property. Feel free to enjoy a walk along the beach, but please stay near the water and keep pets on a leash. No camping or picnics are permitted on private beaches. If it isn't clear whether the beach is private, it probably is, since public or common beaches are marked.
